Ceiling fans only use about 1-2% of the energy an air conditioning unit would use, so when used instead of or as well as air conditioning your power consumption can be drastically reduced, saving you money and reducing your Carbon Footprint on the environment. Ceiling fans can also increase the efficiency of your heating in winter by 10% by using the winter settings on the ceiling fans once again saving you money and reducing your Carbon Footprint. The air movement created by a ceiling fan cools your body down directly through the process of evaporation, while the tempreture in the room may only drop by a couple of degrees, to your body it can feel like up to 8 degrees, this is your bodys natural air conditioning.
