EVERYBODY WANTS TO SAVE MONEY AND HELP THE ENVIRONMENT
If you have central heating or air conditioning you can cut your electric bills significantly, especially in very warm climates, by following the these tips.
Install energy efficient ceiling fans. The use of a ceiling fan can reduce your airconditioning costs by up to 40%.
If it’s just a little too warm for comfort, use the ceiling fan without air conditioning.
If it’s hot enough to require air conditioning, using the ceiling fan allows you to raise the thermostat of the air conditioner by 5 degrees , which will reduce your costs. Using the ceiling fan doesn’t actually lower the temperature. The moving air increases the amount of evaporation from you skin and helps to cool you off using your bodies own natural cooling system. Having the ceiling fan on, can make the room feel up to 7 degrees cooler. And on those hot sticky nights, a ceiling fan provides the comfort we all need to sleep well.
